HIDES AND SKINS GUARANTEE.

In consideration of His Majesty'e Government consenting

and skina, we hereby give you the following undertaking, shall remain in force so long as the present war continues

:-

1. We will not export from Spain any of the said hides or ekine, or any other hides or skins which are now or may be at any other time in our possession, whether the same have been obtained from British Dominions or elsewhere, and

we will not apply to the Spanish Government for any dispensations from their prohibition of the export of hides

or skine.

2.

The said hides or skins, and any other hides and

skine which are now or may be at any other time in our possession, whether the same have been obtained from British

Dominions or elsewhere, will be used exclusively in our own

factories or works in Spain.

3.

We will not export from Spain any leather or leather

goods manufactured from the said hides or skina, or from any

other hides or skine directly or indirectly to any country

at war with Great Britain, or to any country in Europe other

than Great Britain, France, Russia, Italy, Portugal, Greece (if an import permit has previously been obtained from His Majesty'e Minister at Athens), Holland (if consigned to the Netherlands Oversea Trust), Switzerland (if consigned to the Societe Sulase de Surveillance Economique), Norway (if consigned to the Tanner's Association), or Denmark (provided

that either the Merchant's Guild of Copenhagen or the
